These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Life in Bloom Sonography Studio website, booking platforms, communications, and services. By accessing our website, scheduling an appointment, or participating in services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Services Provided

Life in Bloom Sonography Studio provides both:

  • Elective ultrasound services for bonding, keepsake, and entertainment purposes

  • Limited diagnostic ultrasound services performed with a valid provider order

Diagnostic ultrasound examinations may be interpreted by qualified interpreting physicians, including Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) physicians through Ouma Health when applicable.

Elective ultrasound services are not intended to replace medical care, diagnosis, or treatment from a licensed healthcare provider.

2. Eligibility for Services

Clients must be at least 18 years old or accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to receive services.

By booking an appointment, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

3. Appointments, Deposits & Payments

  • Certain appointments may require a non-refundable deposit at the time of booking.

  • Remaining balances are due at the time of service unless otherwise stated.

  • Prices, packages, and promotions are subject to change without notice.

  • Appointment times are reserved specifically for each client.

Failure to arrive for a scheduled appointment without notice may result in forfeiture of deposits and future booking restrictions.

4. Cancellation & No-Show Policy

Clients are encouraged to provide as much notice as possible when canceling or rescheduling appointments.

  • No-call/no-show appointments are non-refundable.

  • Late arrivals may result in shortened appointment times or cancellation without refund.

  • Life in Bloom Sonography Studio reserves the right to cancel or reschedule appointments due to equipment issues, emergencies, provider availability, or safety concerns.

Refunds are considered only under limited circumstances and at the sole discretion of Life in Bloom Sonography Studio.

5. Diagnostic Ultrasound Services

Diagnostic ultrasound services require:

  • A valid provider order when applicable

  • Appropriate clinical information

  • Compliance with physician interpretation workflows

Diagnostic reports are provided within the stated turnaround timeframe and may be delivered to the ordering provider and/or patient as permitted.

Life in Bloom Sonography Studio does not guarantee specific diagnostic findings, outcomes, or medical conclusions.

6. Elective Ultrasound Disclaimer

Elective ultrasound sessions are performed for entertainment, bonding, and keepsake purposes only.

Clients understand and acknowledge that elective ultrasounds:

  • Are not medical examinations

  • Do not replace prenatal care

  • Are not intended to diagnose medical conditions

  • Should not be relied upon for medical decision-making

Clients should continue all routine prenatal and medical care with their physician or licensed healthcare provider.

7. HIPAA Compliance & Privacy Practices

Life in Bloom Sonography Studio may collect, store, maintain, and transmit protected health information (PHI) in accordance with applicable federal and state privacy laws, including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), when applicable.

We are committed to maintaining the confidentiality and security of personal and health information through reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards.

Protected health information may be used or disclosed for:

  • Treatment and care coordination

  • Diagnostic interpretation and reporting

  • Scheduling and business operations

  • Payment processing and billing

  • Legal and regulatory compliance

While elective ultrasound services alone may not independently constitute HIPAA-covered services, Life in Bloom Sonography Studio voluntarily applies HIPAA-aligned privacy and security standards across business operations as a best-practice standard.

8. Image, Video & Media Storage

Ultrasound images, videos, audio recordings, and reports (“Ultrasound Media”) may be created during services.

Clients receive copies according to their purchased package or service type.

Life in Bloom Sonography Studio:

  • Retains ownership of original Ultrasound Media unless otherwise stated

  • Does not guarantee permanent storage of keepsake media

  • Encourages clients to promptly download and back up delivered files

Reasonable efforts are made to protect stored media and records.

9. Media Release & Marketing Use

Life in Bloom Sonography Studio will never publicly share client images, videos, testimonials, or identifying information without written consent.

If a client voluntarily authorizes use of media for marketing, educational, social media, or promotional purposes, consent will be documented through a separate media release agreement.

Consent is voluntary and not required to receive services.

10. Assumption of Risk & Release of Liability

Clients acknowledge that ultrasound technology is generally considered safe when used appropriately.

By participating in services, clients voluntarily assume any minimal risks associated with ultrasound exposure and release Life in Bloom Sonography Studio, its owners, employees, contractors, interpreting physicians, affiliates, and representatives from claims, liabilities, damages, or losses arising from participation in services, except where prohibited by law.

11. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

  • Provide accurate medical and contact information

  • Follow studio instructions and safety guidelines

  • Maintain respectful conduct during appointments

  • Continue routine medical care with their healthcare provider

Life in Bloom Sonography Studio reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services due to safety concerns, inappropriate behavior, or noncompliance with policies.

12. Website Use & Intellectual Property

All website content, including logos, graphics, text, branding, photographs, videos, and materials, are the property of Life in Bloom Sonography Studio and may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, or used without written permission.

Users agree not to misuse the website or attempt unauthorized access to systems or information.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Life in Bloom Sonography Studio shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from use of the website or services.

14. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the state in which Life in Bloom Sonography Studio operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.

15. Changes to These Terms

Life in Bloom Sonography Studio reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes become effective immediately upon posting.
